Who We Are
The Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire & Ambulance Firehouse Family is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the essential mission of the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District. Our role is focused on protecting life and property by providing crucial support for our career and volunteer first responders and fostering a safer community. We achieve this through various initiatives, including fundraising for equipment, organizing community safety programs, and supporting local events like the annual Community Christmas Dinner, Spirit of Christmas Food and Toy Drive, Easter Egg Hunt and the Jim Gentry Scholarship Fund. Essentially, we are the dedicated community arm that helps ensure the Fire District has the resources and public engagement needed to provide the highest level of service.
What We Do
The Firehouse Family and the Fire Corps are two separate groups that work together to
support the overall mission of the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District.
The Firehouse Family is the community-facing, non-profit arm that provides financial
and material support to the Fire District. Their main focus is on fundraising
and community welfare.
Fundraising and Equipment: They raise funds to purchase equipment, gear, and
supplies that are beyond the Fire District's regular operational budget.
Community Events: They organize and host popular community events, such as the
annual Community Christmas Dinner, the Community Easter Egg Hunt, and the
Halloween Carnival.
Scholarships and Support: They manage the Jim Gentry Scholarship Fund to
support local students and provide general support for the district's personnel
and volunteers.
In short: The Firehouse Family raises the money and hosts the major community events.
