Make a Life-Saving Difference: Join Our Smoke Alarm Volunteer Team!

Did you know that during a home fire, a family may have less than three minutes to safely escape? Working smoke alarms are the first line of defense, making a resident four times more likely to survive a home fire.

To keep our neighbors safe, the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District relies on dedicated community volunteers to assist residents with critical, monthly smoke alarm maintenance. By joining our team, you’ll directly protect local families by helping us:

  • Check existing units to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Install user-supplied detectors in homes that need extra coverage.
  • Replace batteries so residents are never left unprotected.

Why Volunteer With Us? You don't need to be a firefighter to save a life. This is a tangible, rewarding way to give back, meet your neighbors, and bring peace of mind to vulnerable members of Greater Sisters Country. A few hours of your time could mean a lifetime to someone else.
