The Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District is looking for passionate volunteers to help provide free, personal home safety consultations for our local senior citizens and families. Our mission is simple: keep community members safe, healthy, and living independently by identifying fire and fall risks before emergencies happen.

No prior fire service experience is required—just a desire to help others. Because seniors are statistically the most vulnerable to these hazards, this program is incredibly impactful! If you want to use your life experience to give back, offer friendly advice, and help neighbors eliminate hazards in their cherished homes, we would love to have you on our team.

What you'll do:

• Work with a partner to review home environments.
• Help neighbors identify simple hazards and recommend safety enhancements.
• Provide peace of mind to families and seniors wishing to remain safely in their homes.
